BIC Basic

Fully revised and updated September 2009

The BIC Basic standards for bibliographic data provision have been developed to improve the accuracy and timeliness of product information available to the book trade, notably at the point of sale, by defining a core bibliographic data set and the procedures publishers should follow in releasing product information into the supply chain. The standards have been revised and updated to current trade needs, particularly the supply of information about digital publications.
